How much does a reverse osmosis system cost?
RO system costs vary based on features and installation requirements. Most systems pay for themselves within 1-2 years by eliminating bottled water purchases. We provide custom quotes based on your needs and water quality.
Does RO remove healthy minerals?
RO removes all dissolved solids, including some beneficial minerals. However, you get far more minerals from food than water. The health benefits of removing contaminants like lead and PFAS far outweigh any mineral loss. Many people add a remineralization stage if desired.
How often do filters need replacement?
Pre-filters and carbon filters typically need replacement every 6-12 months. The RO membrane lasts 2-3 years with proper maintenance. We send reminders when service is due and offer professional replacement service.
Does RO waste a lot of water?
Our UHE system is more efficient than standard RO units. While some wastewater is produced (typical ratio is 3:1 or 4:1), the amount is small compared to daily household water use. The health benefits and quality of pure water justify the minimal waste.
